TRAPeze® ELISA Telomerase Detection Kit, strip well plates

The TRAPeze® ELISA Telomerase Detection Kit is a rapid, non-isotopic assay for detecting telomerase activity in cell or tissue extracts. The method combines a one-step TRAP assay (PCR) with direct, chromogenic detection of TRAP products (ELISA).

Recommended Taq polymerases: must be non-proofreading, having no exonuclease activity and capable of "hot-start." Titanium Taq™, Platinum® Taq are suggested. The kit uses coated strip-well pieces for ease of use and handling.

 TRAPeze® Telomerase Detection Kit

Serially diluted extracts of telomerase-positive control cells (provided in the TRAPeze® Kit) were subjected to the TRAP assay. Reaction products were run on a native polyacrylamide gel and stained with SYBR® Green. Lane 1: CHAPS Lysis Buffer control; Lanes 2-5: extract from 10,000, 2000, 400 and 80 cells; Lane 6: heat-treated extract from 10,000 cells.

 TRAPeze® Telomerase Positive Control Cell Pellet

This product is intended for use with the components of the TRAPEZE® Telomerase Detection Kit (Catalog # S7700), the TRAPEZE® XL Telomerase Detection Kit (Catalog # S7707) and the TRAPEZE® ELISA Telomerase Detection Kit (Catalog # S7750).  TRAPeze® 1X CHAPS Lysis Buffer

1X CHAPS Lysis Buffer is a component of the gel- and ELISA-based TRAPeze® Telomerase Detection Kits and is used in the extraction step of the procedure. This product is used to supplement the TRAPEZE® Kit assay when larger tissue samples necessitate additional 1X CHAPS Lysis Buffer for efficient cell lysis. It extends the capabilities of the kits by enabling the analysis of larger tissue samples.

 TRAPeze® XL Telomerase Detection Kit

The TRAPeze® XL Telomerase Detection Kit is a homogenous fluorescence assay for rapid and sensitive telomerase activity measurement in cell and tissue extracts. The TRAPeze® XL Kit incorporates the use of the novel Amplifluor™ fluorescence energy transfer-labeled primers into the original TRAPeze® Telomerase Detection Kit reaction so that quantitative measurements are obtained without radioactivity.

Additionally, the unique design of Amplifluor primers enables homogeneous signal amplification and quantitation directly in the unopened PCR vessel. The closed-tube assay format eliminates the risk of contaminating unprocessed samples with PCR amplicon. The TRAPeze® XL Telomerase Detection Kit procedure does not require post-PCR manipulations such as gels or enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays (ELISAs).
