Standard tissue culture - flat tubes / tubes

Tissue culture tubes can complement the use of flasks. Especially the flat tube version offers unique advantages. User requirements led to this product that in practice lies between a centrifuge tube and a tissue culture flask. An optimum access for pipettes or scrapers is made possible by the large opening beneath the screw cap. The tube can be used in a centrifuge without problems because its size allows a standard 50ml adapter to be employed. The tube racks take eight tubes in a secure lying position which offers an optimum horizontal position in a CO2 incubator. Microscopes with basal viewing are specially suited for tissue checking. The sloped and flattened upper side assists in reducing refraction to a minimum. In short, this mini flask is a multi-purpose tissue culture container with very special characteristics.

Thanks to a special screw cap, the tube cannot roll away. Regaining a previous position is thus guaranteed. The tube is treated for culture growth over a length of 50 mm.
It offers 20 cm2 growth area.
 

Good horizontal stability greatly simplifies the adjustment of microscopes.

Revolutionary, shaken tissue culture container for all tissue suspensions, formerly an inconceivable flexibility for the user. The removal of specimens, change of medium, parallel experimentation etc. are simplicity itself with this tube.

Culture growth occurs using suitable supports while shaking at a temperature of 37°C. The gas porous filter guarantees oxygen supply, even at very high tissue densities. Thanks to small size and standardised geometry these tubes are excellent for parallel tests and optimization experiments. They fit into any 50ml standard centrifuge apparatus.

PCV tubes allow reproducible measurements.  Micro-centrifuge using fixed angle or better, with rotating rotors. The quantity of tissue cells is shown in the PCV capillary after a short centrifuge operation.

LHS: PCV before the centrifuge and RHS: after the centrifuge. Precise graduation allows the use for quality measurements like, for example, the evaluation of freedom from serums in media as well as fermentation checking.

The color-coding of the PCV tubes simplifies identification while the inserts can be written on to avoid mix-ups

Regulated gas transfer will satisfy every requirement. Maximum exchange of oxygen, carbon dioxide (and humidity) through five openings. If required, any opening can be sealed and the gas exchange trimmed to requirement. Sterility is maintained at all times by means of the additional filter membrane (0.22 µm).
