Cell Scrapers and Spatulas |
|
|
 |
The whole range of scrapers is subject to on-going improvement and
optimisation. This can be judged by the second generation. Small
raised knobs on the handle bring an improved and more secure grip when
using rubber gloves.
All ancillary equipment serve the careful scraping and harvesting of
tissue cells in all accessible tissue culture products.
The special characteristic is, however, the unique turning zone of the
blade. This allows turning directly on the tissue culture surface to
access each corner of the container and its total surface area without
the need to withdraw the tool.
|
|
The tissue scraper and spatula range is delivered in a
practical blister package within the reliable cardboard TPP dispenser
box.
|
  |
The spatula is used mainly in large dishes or with flasks having
either re-closable lids or tear-off foils. There are, of course, a
myriad of, to us unknown, further uses in the laboratory. An important
application will certainly rely upon the specially formed tip which
has a sharp, pointed edge. |

  |
Changes in blade angle require slight pressure on the handle using the
forefinger, thus pushing the handle downward towards the floor of the
container. Slight rotation of the handle will then cause the blade to
twist to another direction.
The blades are made from a specially soft and flexible polyethylene
material. |
